The seed that God has sown in your heart is the most precious gift that we have and the most important asset that we can’t let it off or have the thief stealing from us. The seed is God’s word which is alive, filled with life and increases your faith in God. As you read in Luke chapter:8 v.4-15 as below
“While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.”
When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”
9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,
“‘though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.’[a]
11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop “
God’s word is the heart & core part of your life, this is the most valuable one that helps in producing good fruits in life. As you read at the end of Verse 15, it says that the one with noble and good heart, hears the word, retain it and preserve it that it would produce crop. It’s not about hearing the word of God but we need to Guard it, practice what it teaches us and make sure that we don’t walk the way the world tells us. There is always a clash between God’s word and how the world tells us what is good.
When you make decisions in your life, you need to value it based on the scripture & listening to the Holy Spirit and not on the standards of the world. Things that were considered Bad are now being considered as casual and as part of the routine life, whereas God’s word remains the same yesterday, today and Tomorrow. The more you tune yourself to God’s word, the more you are aware of your surroundings and would be able to walk in ways that would please God. People of this world could talk to you in the most influential way or in a highly intellectual manner but if it’s not based on what God has spoken then it’s utterly waste.
You need to Guard what God has sown in you through his people and need to practice it so that we don’t fall into the world but standout to show that he is still alive and walk in his way.
Follow ways to be in God’s presence always, here are few things that I did to make myself not get connected with the world but to remain in God’s presence
- Listening to worship albums while driving, at home and in my leisure time
- Not involving in Gossip or talks that is of the world
- Spending time with my family and helping each other
- Made myself aware of the situations and leaned onto God for Guidance
- Focused on things that I can do better and made stick notes in my room that had God’s word
- Managed to daily hear a sermon online for half hour or more so that I understand God’s word and stay deep rooted
- Made reminders on my mobile for bible words and short passages
When you tune yourself to God, the rest will fall in place. It’s your life that needs to be like Good fragrance that others would know that you are unique and a way to show God. When you live life based on the seed sown in you, the seed produces fruit which in turn makes you a Servant of God to many.
