Taking control of things that can be done from our end is so important in Life so that we don’t spend our time in unfruitful stuff rather build on things that would please God. I failed miserably in taking control of my time as well as in knowing which needs attention in my life. I had to fix some deep holes in my life which needed attention because they were taking my whole energy and attention.
- Taking note of things that drains our Energy and Time is important, so that we don’t spend God’s given time in useless way.
- Never make quick promises to someone on an emotional stand
- I started to take note of my projects I was involved and spent my time wisely by allotting time for Each project
- Stated to spend time with God before hitting bed and made sure that I wasn’t distracted by anything; making sure that I listen to his instruction and where my questions were answered
- Never made appointments that would disturb my time with God!
- When I had leisure time, started to read books & work on my career
- Also, I learnt to be become a good listener to God’s given people in our life who impart their experience with Him.
Jesus as already showed us on how we need to spend our time but it just didn’t get to me. In the scripture, you could see that Jesus used to leave his disciples after a gathering and made time to spend with God the Father by moving to the mountains alone. Also, Jesus spent the time fruitfully as well as made sure that he was always connected with His Heavenly Father. The time given to us is for a purpose and it must be rightly spent; also, you can’t surround yourself with things that would distract you when you have your personal time with God.
You need to take the first step, so that God can guide you further.
“The Holy Spirit inside you is so pure and so passionate in what you do, so start working with Him”.
Make him glad by spending your time wisely and grow your Faith in God in an unmeasurable way.
Myself & Many of us have always been hesitant or on the back-foot when it comes to serving God in one way or the other or following the vision that God wants us to go for. I encountered God during my college days and knew from that very moment, my life’s purpose was to serve God in all possible ways. But, I have been through situations where I was hesitant sometimes; when I had a chance to serve God because I thought for myself whether I wasn’t qualified or was worthy of it. I had to keep fighting with this thought which was a stumbling block for many days.
Finally, I took a decision that am going to start serving God in all possible way, no matter what am battling within myself. I kept telling myself that God is with me, within me and he would be happy to see me doing things for him. This is what I did
- Whenever I got time, I started to invest on reading my bible or listening to worship albums and sermons.
- Spent my weekends attending church, catching up with my church team and being part of the youth team.
- I made sure that that my mind was occupied with things that I need to do for God in that week and kept moving one day at a time
- I kept thinking what can be done New at church for making the Sunday service more enjoyable & create an amazing experience.
I understood that when I started to take the first step in involving myself in building his kingdom, I felt that God’s presence in my life was stronger than ever before & there was a constant push that made me go for it. God doesn’t look at us the way people do, HE designed you for a purpose and HE alone can make you walk through the very END.
Start serving God in any possible way you can, when you do, you will learn a lot about HIM and can see God’s Hand leading you all the way. It’s not an exam that you need to GET prepared, it’s about walking with the LORD in every day of your life. And, it starts right from the moment you gave your life to HIM.
I kept looking into my notepad after typing the title and just can’t resist to keep thinking of all the good things that God has done throughout my life. Knowing your Heavenly Father will make a lot of difference when you are battling with Fear, doubts, Life and it goes on. His Love is unconditional in all the ways and it can’t be described in words.
We have heard of the Prodigal son story a couple of times (Luke 15:11-32) in our life. Many a times, when I have gone away from God in a position where the Enemy tried to build on the guilty feeling that I had within myself and how imperfect I was, that I would never be accepted again by God. It beat to me a level, that I had to come to conclusion that it’s better to live the way I was living rather turning back to the One who loved me and created me in HIS very own image.
God died on the cross and took the unimaginable pain, thinking about US & he Rose again to show that Death can’t defeat him. Think on the second part, “He Rose Again”; to show us that He lives & He wants us to know that no Man on Earth or the Enemy can defeat his children nor can take them away from him. When he has chosen & promised you, think that he is not going to sleep until the promises come true in your life.
His love is so much, that he can’t stay away from you. It’s just that we need to know that he is always with us and within us. How far or how bad you may be now, just know that he wants you as you are and he is not kept count of your wrong doings rather he has keeps thinking of you and wants to see you walk into a prosperous life. When you fail trying to live in God’s way, don’t give up rather look unto his love as he never gave up on you.
He was Fighter, so are you!!!!
“Your Father in heaven is not willing that any one of these little ones should be lost.” (Matthew 18:14)
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him… But the father said to his servants, `Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’” (Luke 15:20b, 22-24)
